Kim Jakobsen To is focusing on exploring identity, fashion and sub culture through photography, and have exhibited at the unique London annual ACT ART as well as published work in magazines like AXM, Super Super, BLIKK and Ballade.
He is also contributing to the online web collective KCTV.co.uk, and to the music pages of BLIKK – and have also worked as the fashion assistant in the bi-annual DRAMA Magazine.
Worked closely with Shu Lea Cheang on the Fluid project in Kristiandsand, Oslo and Berlin. Was also a core part of two performance groups from 2002-2004 who pushed and explored boundraries concerning sexuality and gender through provoking shows which ganied a lot of attention in Norway – leading to national media discussions around sex, religion and cultural taboos.
Mainly a portrait photographer, Kim’s work is described as ‘documentary on the verge to Paul McCarthy’.
